In an interesting new analysis of 77 different studies, certain spices, and herbs of the Mediterranean diet were found to have significant benefits in improving glycemic health in type 2 diabetes.
The spices are ginger, black cumin, and cinnamon. The meta-analysis evaluated black cumin, clove, parsley, saffron, thyme, ginger, black pepper, rosemary, curcumin, cinnamon, basil, and/or oregano common in the Mediterranean diet. The studies' inclusion criteria included adult patients with type 2 diabetes, with data on fasting glucose and/or A1c and/or insulin. https://buff.ly/43wn6DU
