The number of people over age 65 is growing rapidly, yet the number of geriatricians is not keeping up.10 years ago, the projected need was for 25,000 geriatricians. Today we have a little over 7,000. The reason? Well at least, in part, is money. Geriatricians make less than many other specialists.
