I'm following with interest all of the new uses for the GLP-1 drugs (Ozempic, Mounjaro etc) that started as diabetes drugs and are now widely used for weight loss. A new study from Case Western Reserve University suggests that semaglutide (Ozempic) may also reduce opioid overdose risk in patients with type 2 diabetes and opioid use disorder (OUD).
