🧠 Unraveling the Brain’s Secrets: Connectome Mapping Breakthrough

In a study by Dorkenwald, published in Nature in October 2024, nearly 50 labs collaborated to create the largest neural map of an adult fruit fly brain. This “connectome” reveals how flies see, groom, socialize, and move, and offers potential breakthroughs in mapping more complex brains, like those of mice. This achievement could pave the way for improved treatments and even cures for human neurological diseases.
